The goal of our research is to understand how information on environmental changes and experiences are encoded by the central nervous system. We are particularly interested in the molecular events that underlie certain forms of short- and long-lasting synaptic plasticity.
In order to achieve our goals we use a multidisciplinary approach. By combining single to multicell recordings, we try to understand the role of individual neuron types in complex networks. Furthermore, we use imaging techniques to understand the dynamics of neuronal processes.
